About Glendale

Eighty-seven years.
One family.

Glendale Heating & Air Conditioning opened in 1938 and has been family-owned ever since. We're now in our fourth generation — same Seattle neighborhood, same standards, same name on the truck.

Timeline

The trades changed.
We didn't.

  1. 1938

    Founded in Seattle

The first Glendale shop opens on the south end of Seattle, installing coal and oil furnaces for the neighborhood.

  2. 1962

    Forced air era

The second generation takes over as Seattle homes shift to forced-air heating. The trucks change, the handshake doesn't.

  3. 1989

    Air conditioning, finally

Seattle starts asking for AC. We start installing it — with the same fit-and-finish standards we use for heat.

  4. 2008

    Indoor air quality

Filtration, ventilation and humidity control join the menu as homes get tighter and air quality matters more.

  5. 2024

    All-electric heat pumps

We become a PSE-approved heat pump installer and a Daikin Comfort Pro. Eighty-six years in. Still family-owned.

How we run a job

Three rules. In that order.

Rule 01

Show up.

On the day. In the window. With the parts. The bar starts here.

Rule 02

Do it right.

Manufacturer spec, code-compliant, neat. If it isn't, we redo it on us.

Rule 03

Stand behind it.

We pick up the phone. We come back. Eighty-seven years of pick-up-the-phone.
